Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is commonly referred to as “non-stick coating” or “easy-to-clean material.” This material is resistant to acids and alkalis and to various organic solvents and is almost insoluble in all solvents. At the same time, PTFE has the characteristics of high temperature resistance and extremely low friction coefficient, so it is also an ideal coating for easy cleaning of the inner layer of water pipes in addition to its lubrication.

PTFE is widely used in industries such as a

Micronized PTFE (PTFE Powder)
Micronized PTFE is a refined low molecular weight PTFE, which is almost entirely consumed in the non-fluoropoly- mer industry. Micropowder is added to other products to improve their performance and impart some fluoropoly- mer properties to the substrate. Its relative density is 2.2g/cm3, with a dosage of 4% to 30% according to the customer’s product.
Performance: The Micronized PTFE series with a molec- ular weight of less than 100,000 and a particle size of 0.5-15um not only maintains all the excellent proper- ties of PTFE, but also has many unique properties such as no self-cohesiveness, no electrostatic effect, good compatibility, low molecular weight, good dispersibili- ty, high self-lubricity, low friction coefficient, good wear resistance and obvious non-stickiness.
Uses: PTFE ultrafine powder can be used as a solid lubricant alone, or as an additive for plastics, rubber, paints, inks, lubricating oils, greases, etc. When mixing with plastic or rubber, various typical powder process- ing methods, such as blending, can be used, with the addition amount of 5-20 %. Adding Micronized PTFE to oil and grease is able to reduce friction coefficient; adding a few percentages of Micronized PTFE will increase the service life of lubricating oil. The organic solvent dispersion can also be used as a release agent.
